This Is How Our Pies Are Made
There’s something pretty special about a good old-fashioned pie.
Not the kind that’s been rushed, bulked out or filled with mystery bits — but the kind made with real ingredients, time, care and a whole lot of flavour.
At The Cook in the Hat, our pies are made from scratch in our Perth Hills kitchen. We hand cut our ingredients, slow cook our fillings and build each pie with the kind of care you’d expect from food made by someone who genuinely loves what they do.
No fillers. No nasties. No shortcuts.
Just real meat, beautiful vegetables, rich gravy, golden pastry and that little bit of homemade magic that makes every bite feel like comfort food at its best.
We believe a pie should feel generous. It should be packed with flavour, made in small batches, and taste like someone has actually cared about what went into it.
Because that’s exactly what we do.
From cutting the meat, to stirring the pots, to filling and baking each pie — this is food made by hand, with quality ingredients and plenty of heart.
